Though I walk through death's dark valley,
I no evil thing will fear;
For my Saviour's 'neath the shadow
Walking with me, ever near.

Though the way is lost in darkness,
He shall e'er my comfort be;
He will guide me through the shadows
On the heaven's light so free.

Though my hope and courage fail me,
He will e'er my strength uphold,
And will gently onward lead me
Safe into the upper fold.
