Sweeter And Dearer

How sweet is the love of my Savior and King,
Forever my song it shall be;
For day after day, while its praises I sing,
'Tis growing still sweeter to me.

It lightens my sorrows, and trouble and care.
And causes my pathway to shine;
It helps me for Jesus to do and to dare,
And never will let me repine.

It gives me a carol to sing thro the night,
And cheers my soul onward each day;
So truly I trust it till faith end in sight,
And shadows have faded away.
