"Let not your heart be troubled,
Neither let it be afraid,"
Were words of sweetest comfort,
By our dear Redeamer said.

In heaven are many mansions,
He has hastened to prepare,
That all his true disciples
In his endless bliss might share.

To us he gives this promise,
Bidding each to follow him,
And we thro' this way only,
Heaven's gates can enter in.

He sends His Holy Spirit,
As the Christian's daily guide,
And gives a blessed fortaste
Of those joys that e'er abide.

Then on-ward, brother Christian,
Ever keep the narrow road,
Till Jesus comes to bear you,
To his heavenly abode.
