Eternity

Where spend eternity
When earth is gone?
Where will my spirit be
As time goes on?
Earth's pleasures cannot stay,
Soon, soon they pass away,
Then comes the long, long day,
Eternity.

Choose now thy future home,
Choose weary soul,
Where thro' eternity
Ages may roll.
Serve faithfully while here,
Bring Christ some souls to cheer,
Love God, then never fear,
Eternity.

Leaves have their time to all,
All nature dies,
But we have hope of life,
Beyond the skies.
Joy may be ever thine,
thro' Jesus Christ divine,
Heav'n may be thine and mine,
Eternity.
