Can You Stand For God?

Can you stand for God, though you stand alone,
With your heart at rest, and your soul secure,
With the rock beneath and in front the throne,
Can you stand and still endure?

Can you stand for God, when the heart grows faint,
And your soul looks thro' many blinding tears,
Can you bear life's sorrows with out complaint
Thro' tedious toilsome years?

Can you stand with faith, though the time be long,
Tho' the night be dark and the day star dim,
Can you stand for truth and in Christ be strong,
Till you stand complete in him?

If we stand in the strife, till the end of life,
